Sharma is extremely grounded. She talked about this to TheNorthEastToday.com. "Growing up in Assam taught me how important it is to be rooted, to never forget where you come from. The inherent simplicity, the innocence of Assam in my growing up years is something I shall carry with me forever. When I was growing up, especially around my teenage Assam was going through a very different volatile phase, where I think we all largely felt 'neglected' by the rest of the country, literally alienated & that somehow I think ingrained in me the fact that wherever I go, the first thing I am going to proudly announce is 'I am an Assamese'. I continue to do that."
Sharma wants to inspire others. Specifically, she wants them to go after what they want in life. "If I have inspired even one person from the region to follow their heart & take up a profession that makes them happy, then I feel fortunate," she tells TheNorthEastToday.com. "At the end of it, it's about believing in yourself & never giving up on your dreams."
Sharma is a big believer in following her own intuition. She advises others to do the same in her TheNorthEastToday.com interview. "Do what you feel is right, in your heart. Never get swayed by other people's opinions, especially opinions of you. When you listen to your gut, everything falls into place."
Sharma makes sure to take care of her skin. She says that one of her secrets is staying consistent. Sharma talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. "Here's the thing about skincare … It isn't a 'makeover'! It's sort of a diligent process over many years. Slow, steady… & Yes you need to take care of your skin, even if you have genetically good skin."
Sharma likes to make her own skincare products with organic ingredients. In the previous Instagram post, Sharma makes a mask out of coconuts and avocado. "So here is my super basic avocado – coconut oil mask for the winter. ( my first attempt at cutting an avacado myself . & I haven't got it right yet 😀 ). But the point was to feed the skin & myself ( made some avacado/ guacamole toast too ) hence manageable! Happy winter skin people …"
